The runbook for products that have to ship

Davi Suga: senior software engineer, freelance, in São Paulo. I build products end to end, fix the ones that stall, and keep them running.

Look up the symptom. Here is the response.

Symptom
You have the idea, maybe a Figma file, and a deadline. No codebase, or one nobody wants to touch.
Response
I build the MVP end to end: web or mobile front, API, auth, data model, deploy, and observability. You get a product in users' hands and a codebase a team can grow into.
Resolved
  • 2024–25Chief — #2 contributor on the MVP: about 90% of the React/TypeScript frontend and the full Python/FastAPI backend. It now serves 8+ enterprise customers with $1.4M+ in pipeline.
  • 2023GridoAI — Founded it and shipped the product: Scala/Cats API, Next.js + Tailwind frontend.
  • 2020EkonoMe — Co-founded it and built the accessible mobile app with scheduling, chat, and video calls.
Stack
  • React
  • Next.js
  • React Native
  • TypeScript
  • Python / FastAPI
  • PostgreSQL

Symptom
Dashboards disagree, pipelines run for half an hour, and nobody knows which CRM export is the real one.
Response
I design the pipeline and the warehouse behind it: ingestion from CRMs and APIs, dbt models, orchestration, and storage that stays fast at tens of millions of rows.
Resolved
  • 2025Chief — Moved the data layer to ClickHouse: pipeline runtime from 30 min to 4 min, over tens of millions of HubSpot and Salesforce records a day.
  • 2023Crib Equity — Built a Databricks Spark/Scala pipeline to power search and lay the groundwork for an AI model.
Stack
  • ClickHouse
  • dbt
  • Metaflow
  • Spark / Scala
  • PostgreSQL
  • Redis

Symptom
The prototype wowed the board. In production it is slow, makes things up, and nobody can tell when it is wrong.
Response
I turn LLM prototypes into features people rely on: grounded context, tool use, streaming interfaces, evals that catch regressions, and fallbacks when the model is unsure.
Resolved
  • 2025Chief — Natural-language questions over CRM data through context-aware SQL generation, answered in a realtime chat over Server-Sent Events.
  • 2026The Dealer's Concierge — AI extraction that prefills forms from scanned registrations; the flows drew 3k pageviews across 23 dealerships.
  • 2026Espelho — Hackathon MVP: an evidence-bounded customer twin you rehearse sales calls with, by voice (OpenAI Realtime + WebRTC) or text.
Stack
  • OpenAI / Anthropic APIs
  • Tool use
  • Evals
  • Server-Sent Events
  • WebRTC

Symptom
Pages crawl, the cloud bill climbs every month, deploys are scary, and incidents get solved by whoever is awake.
Response
I find where the time and money go and take it back: query plans, caching, bundles, images, containers, and the tracing that keeps it fixed. I can also run releases and incident triage while your team catches up.
Resolved
  • 2025Chief — Queries from 3 s to 30 ms (100×) with row-level security and caching; Docker images from 5 GB to 1.5 GB; incident response time down 70% with OpenTelemetry and Axiom.
  • 2024bliver — 126% faster initial load after a frontend infrastructure migration, on a Rust payments platform running on AWS Kubernetes.
  • 2023Crib Equity — AWS bill down $1,000 a month with a leaner feature-flag system.
Stack
  • PostgreSQL
  • Redis
  • OpenTelemetry
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • AWS / GCP
